...to Wakefield Orchestral Wind. We are an orchestral wind band based in Ossett, West Yorkshire. We have a varied repertoire, and a large selection of music, from popular film music to show music, big band, classical and our conductor's own arrangements.

Rehearsals

Rehearsals take place at Ossett Community Centre every Thursday evening at 7:15pm for a 7:30pm start. We finish around 9:00pm. New players are always welcome, and although we don't generally audition prospective new members, our music is sometimes quite demanding and players should therefore be at least Grade 6 standard. We are a friendly group, and also enjoy other social activities. Although we are predominantly a senior band, younger players are welcomed and encouraged.
