Strange times we are living in at the moment!

Tonight was to be our conductor’s last rehearsal with us. Lee has been with us since 2012 and in his time as leader through his hard work, dedication, encouragement and skill he has brought the band to a new level and is leaving us in a strong position.

With rehearsals on hold for the moment we’d like to raise a virtual glass to you, Lee, and say a very big THANK YOU for all you’ve done for WOW over the last 8 years! We wish you well in all your future ventures.

Card and gifts to follow!

IMPORTANT NOTICE

In light of the government's updated advice that non-essential travel and non-essential social contact should be avoided it is with deep regret that we have taken the difficult decision to suspend rehearsals for the time being in order to prioritise the safety and well-being of our members.

We will of course be keeping an eye on the situation and will commence rehearsals again as soon as it is safe to do so.

In the meantime we send our very best wishes to our members, their families and all our supporters!

We had a great rehearsal last night, the first one back after the Christmas and New Year break.

We certainly blew out the cobwebs with Frozen (very apt), Moment for Morricone and Sweeny Todd.

To finish off, we played Festive Overture. If you know this piece of music, you will know that it is quite a challenge and one that we are ready to accept for this year!

If you would like to join us, please do get in touch.

We've had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon entertaining the people of Pontefract in the grounds of their historic castle. The sun shone all afternoon!

Our next event is an evening concert at All Saints Church, Normanton on 8th October 2016 at 7.30pm.

Please do come along!
