It was with a grerat deal of relief that the clouds parted and an audience came to listen to usplay. It had been non-stop heavy rain all morning - but not a drop in the two hours we played.

This was out last event before our summer break.

It was a scorcher of an afternoon. The grass looked parched, the band was parched, the audience were very sensible and took advantage of the shade of the trees!

We really enjoyed ourselves entertaining family, friends and local residents.

If you didn't get chance to hear us play, you won't have to wait long for the next opportunity! We will be playing at Camphill Pennine Community on Saturday 7th July between 1.30pm and 3.30pm.

After months of preparation our Come and Play Day has been and gone.

We were joined on the day by over 20 guest players - some were people who've played with Wow in the past, some were people who had attended the previous Play Day and enjoyed it so much they wanted to repeat the experience, and some people were completely new faces to us. (Although it was amazing to see that almost everyone who came seemed to know someone else who was there!)

We rehearsed five pieces - The King and I, Rule the World, Don't Stop me Now, Molesworth's Melody and Nights in White Satin - before and after lunch and then we had some refreshments with family and friends before entertaining them by performing all 5 pieces!

All in all it was a wonderful day - one which I'm sure we will want to repeat in the future - and we are delighted that some people who attended have decided that they would like to join us on a permanent basis!

Please have a look at our Gallery for photos of the day and there are many more on our Facebook page.
